Epilepsy Genetics - Sattar Khoshkhoo - Brigham and Women’s Hospital
Переглядів 136Місяць тому
Knowing the exact cause of someone's epilepsy can be important. It can affect the way their condition presents and how well treatment works. That's why we're now doing more genetic testing for our patients. It helps us understand their epilepsy better and choose the best treatment for them. It’s because of that knowledge that we are increasingly offering genetic testing to our patients.

I was able to get rid of my multiple fibroid totally without any surgery.all thanks to doctor ebedia natural herbs.i recommend you all to (drebedia) .❤.
My daughter just informed me that the medication I bought for her from Dr Aluda on UA-cam worked that her multiple fibroids has be shrunk and I am so happy for her and I am thankful to Dr Aluda for his help--
Looks like inside of a balut eggs.
How does one find out the severity of the tear. I’ve been seeing a chiropractor, but it’s not helping all that much.
Bs they take your money with a cold smile on there face
Awesome!!!!
Just listening to this made me cry so hard already lol I m in my day 9 and had first ultrasound yesterday without my husband because we had a fight a lot this past week and he couldn't handle me anymore so I went alone for the first ultrasound and burst out crying in the toilet many times while waiting to see the doctor, try not to burst out cry in front of nurses and doctor everytime they asked where is my husband?? try not to burst out cry while doctor ultrasound me and keep say my eggs didn't look so good and not that many eggs (ended with 6 eggs that not the same size). then even feel so overwhelmed already still had to walked to the injection room to get 2 more doses of hormone.. back in 2 days to ultrasound again. This is much harder than I expected and I think I m pretty strong woman. Big hug to everyone going through this.
How is that person today?
Very similar to my story. In January of this year I went to the hospital with cardio shock, which they found was because of advanced heart failure. My ejection fraction was 20% when I went into the hospital. Luckily during the 3 weeks I was in the hospital, my heart improved and I did not need an LVAD. Since I got discharged, I have made a ton of lifestyle changes, and at my last appointment my ejection fraction was 50% and my heart function overall is really good. Recovery is definitely possible! It’s a scary thing to go through, but always focus on the big picture
Hello
Wow, 20% to 50% is a remarkable improvement, could you tell me what "lifestyle changes" you made? The same thing happened to me, my EF went down to 20% when I was hospitalized, but it is only back up to about 38% a year later.
@@joeh1687 I really focused on lifestyle changes regarding my diet and exercise. For diet: - Reduce sodium intake. Most cardiologists say 2000 mg or less is good. I took it a step further and limited myself to 1500 mg of sodium per day. It’s really not as hard as you would think. Just read labels on food and be disciplined. - Focus on eating “heart healthy” foods. Fresh vegetables (especially green leafy vegetables) fruit, nuts. Eat more chicken and fish instead of beef. Cook with olive oil and avocado oils instead of vegetable oil. - eliminating processed sugar as much as possible. Snack cakes, cookies, ect. Don’t drink soda or juices loaded with sugar. Processed sugar is just as bad for you as sodium. - Rarely eat as restaurants. And NEVER eat fast food. - I would encourage you to do some research on the “Mediterranean diet”. There’s been research that’s been done that has found that people in that region have the best cardiovascular health out of anyone in the world. They attribute much of that to the foods they eat. I’ve been on that diet for almost 4 months now and I feel great. For exercise, it’s pretty simple. Walk, walk, and walk some more. Cardio workouts like that can help improve ejection fractions. Typically I go for a walk everyday after work. Normally around half a mile. On weekends when I have more time I try to do that twice. I always shoot for 15,000 steps each day. I know this is a lot of info, but it really helped me. Just remember, it takes time to see results. Good luck to you!
@@backwoodshunter.2439 Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it... It seems like you are taking a sensible approach with the diet improvements and walking routine. My doctors at the heart failure clinic want me to reduce the sodium to 1500 mg of sodium also, but I won't lie, that has been a struggle for me. I try using the salt substitute, but you can get in trouble with too much of that also. Yes, the Mediterranean always gets good reviews, I have been trying my best to improve my diet and lose some weight, but it has been a life long struggle for me. You are certainly using the correct approach, consistency with the walking and nutrition. Thanks again for the info, I will try to make some positive improvements. Take care, Joe
Oh The very end of this video horrifies me! I took fluoroquinolone antibiotics for 10 years and I'm falling apart.. going for rotator cuff surgery next month (non injury but large supraspinatus tear). Deltoid detachment sounds terrifying and the thought of cutting into another muscle... Just no.. ugh
Very informative
This made me less nervous for my surgery thank you for sharing
Hi
I wish I had something like this at the hospital I had my daughter. It was so straightforward and I was so out of it from the medication it didn’t felt like a beautiful moment. I could only count my blessings that my daughter is healthy. ❤
This is so cool! I'm going in for surgery and this helps me know what's going on. Y'all rock
Lazy sons of bitches. Eat right and exercise.
Not only should the test NOT ever be done ever, it should be banned, even in men who want it. It’s like a live time bomb.🎉
It’s a horrible test, the PSA, that should be BANNED.
I wish, I wish, I wish my wife's doctor had watched this video a year ago. She would probably still be with me now. Always take the initiative and insist that your doctors give the best care for you or your loved ones.
MS CRACKERBARRY 💀
Had my operation yesterday ahh yes at least I know why one of the cuts is bigger than the others it’s on the port side for specimen removal. Thank you
Lucky her. I had to watch my son get stomach pumped while getting stitches
Oh man! I’m sorry! Was he alright? 1:00 omg this lady got to hold her baby?! They usually never allow this when you have a c section! I never seen any other hospital do this! If I do end up with a c section I hope to be able to hold my baby but if not I’m gonna ask the doctor to knock me out where I’m asleep like I am when I’m asleep til I’m sewed up & in the recovery room with my baby. Even if it means my baby may cry for a minute cuz I’m knocked out. It just looks painful to be cut open when awake!
Beautiful job!
Quitarse el estomago??? Tan sencillo estener voluntad y dejar de comer en exceso y hacer ejercicio. Dejar de comer Chatarra

How was the surgery? Hope you’re feeling well! Let me know please I’m having mine in march and I’m nervous
@@MrMgrojas21 went pretty good! I'm 8 days post op and feeling better each day. The cravings are still present but i was told it will get better when i reach the solid food part. My only complain was the first 2-3 days I was so thirsty and you can only drink mini sips of water each 5 minute
thanks for the feedback!!! I am excited about it. @@Tirio971
@@Mizz_Love was very hard the first 2-3 weeks mentally. I was having regrets, i was on jello's and liquids and it got to me. 3 months out now and feeling better than ever, i eat pretty much everything but in much lower quantities and i focus on protein. I started working out, i can now shop at regular clothing stores, no more snoring or sleeping issues, blood pressure and pre diabetes reversed and most importantly my self confidence exploded. I highly recommend this surgery :)
That’s a tad bit excessive for me I will just try my damnest to let my mind of will power take over I ain’t gonna be able to do that surgery NOPE
